Dubai – UAE; 20 April 2016: Travelers with sensibilities and preferences guided by the tenets of Islam – Halal travellers – are now the fastest-growing segment in the global travel industry. They are also emerging as a key focus area for service providers in the global travel industry, who are customizing packages and highlighting specific solutions that would be particularly relevant to the Halal traveller. To cater to the growing industry need to satisfy this burgeoning sector, Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry, unveil the results of its latest study into the profound world of Halal Tourism at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2016, the region’s premier annual travel and tourism event.
The results will be revealed at the Amadeus stand (stand #TT1320, Sheikh Saeed Hall 1), where visitors can also explore an exhibition of the company’s recent technology innovations and solutions for the global travel industry.
Additionally, the company will also lead engaging seminars for industry professionals on Mobile Solutions, Merchandising, Travel Payments, Travel Intelligence, and Selling Platform Connect, Amadeus’ flagship solution for the travel agency community. Participants in the seminars will learn the benefits that Amadeus solutions bring to the industry, including tailored offerings for Government tourism authorities, travel agencies, airlines, hotels, and more.
Antoine Medawar, Vice President, Amadeus MENA, said: “ATM is a keenly-awaited annual event for the region’s travel and tourism industry, and we are using our participation to share valuable industry information and our cutting edge solutions. We look forward to meeting with our customers and potential partners, and to leading seminars that will discuss the hottest topics in the industry today. Revealing the
findings of our ‘Halal Tourism’ study will also be a high point of our participation. What we are uncovering through this study will be of immense value to travel and tour consultants and service providers from the heart of the Islamic world, as well as global destinations and operators who wish to target this fastest-growing segment.”
