Exclusive “Security Breakfast” at Airport Show
DUBAI, May 14, 2016: Senior representatives from Civil Aviation Authorities, Security Departments and Airport Management from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Egypt and Serbia, alongwith airport security experts from leading international companies discussed challenges to airport security and explored solutions during an exclusive “Security Breakfast” organised by Reed Exhibitions during Airport Show 2016 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC).
The three-day iconic airport event was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group.
Airport Show is a unique platform for global aviation industry players and serves as an annual meeting place for the region’s aviation stakeholders. The event also provides opportunities for aviation leaders to discuss the industry’s key challenges and opportunities at the Global Airport Leader’s Forum, which is co-located with the Airport Show.
The ‘Security breakfast’ had decision makers and experts discuss ways to make airport security more proactive, impact of drones on aviation security, reducing risks and avoiding major threats, importance of security culture awareness, ways technology can detect and prevent newsecurity threats and also threats posed by cyber-attacks. The experts also discussed the future of technologies in baggage screening, biometric identification, video analytics and perimeter protection among others, and how international regulations and standards are driving the market.
