CAE extends Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) First Officer Program with Japan Airlines

SINGAPORE, SINGAPORE--(Marketwired - Aug. 30, 2016) - (NYSE:CAE)(TSX:CAE) - CAE announced today at the 2016 Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium that it has extended the Japan Airlines (JAL) Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) First Officer Program for 3 additional years to a total of 10 years, effective until October 2023. Under the renewed agreement, 24 additional cadets will be selected to begin MPL training for the Japanese airline.

In 2013, Japan Airlines selected CAE as its partner of choice for a tailored MPL training program. Since launch, more than 100 cadets have been selected and are undergoing their training as First Officers for Japan Airlines. The first cadets have completed the program in Phoenix in December 2015. The renewal of this contract brings the total cadets enrolled in this innovative program to more than 240.
